Just messing around, didn't have anything in mind here, it shows! Finally got used to using the lasso tool and made some new brushes though.

A speedy from this afternoon. I'm trying (REALLY HARD, I swear!) to get back to painting and experimenting every day. Recently I've been trying to improve and simplify my use of shapes - I never spend enough time thinking about strong shapes for the big-picture read of a piece. So here we are... Also been trying to just paint SIMPLER. At a certain point, I always tend to hide behind textures and details without putting enough time into getting composition and lighting right.
