A while ago I had the chance to work with Born Ready Games on some cinematic paintings for their recently released space shooter Strike Suit Zero. The game's out now; I think the game looks great, their art turned out really sharp. Definitely worth checking out if you're a genre fan or just like pretty space things.
The panels are presented in the game as panoramic Homeworld-style animations with the usual cinematic trappings and After Effects trickery. (But you can see all of that, well, in the game!)

These are beautiful! I particularly like the first and fourth panels -- the plane on the first giving you a sense of the enormous scale of the city below, and the perspective on the fourth.
ReplyDeleteThese images would look amazing as wallpapers on a dual 1920x1200 monitor set up. Shame I don't have such a set up! I'm sure they'll look great on my laptop instead. :)
Thanks, glad you like 'em!
